Our tub was leaking or should I saying pouring hot water out of the faucet. It was getting really bad in August. We had a plumber come out and said it was going to cost 550.00 but will only hold for probably a year and then go back to leaking. So we just decided to redo everything since it was gong to be a waste to have to do it again in a year. It has taken this long to get "The same plumber" to come back and do the work. Long story. All that matters is the tub doesn't leak any more and the bathroom is almost done.
