Happy 7th Birthday!

Adisyn is the happiest child. She is full of life and the most simply things in life make her so happy!
Her smile lights up a room!

For breakfast she wanted chocolate chip pancakes with sprinkles (because sprinkles are for winners)

She wanted a cupcake theme

For lunch she wanted pizza from Pizzano's pizza. That is the only pizza she likes. She got all dressed up. A tiara with a queen dress and sparkly high heel shoes. She was ready to go...and no one was going to stop her.

When we got home we had pizzookie and ice-cream!

She took too long to blow out the candle and Karsyn did it for her.

She wasn't amused

we had a redo because it was her time to shine! Her own words not mine!

She isn't a big fan of cake so she asked for a pizzookie which makes life a lot easier!

And Reese's ice cream!

opened presents and loved everything!

Thank you to all who called, texted, sent gifts, and cards!
She said it was the best birthday ever!

Canning

I was talking to my neighbors and mentioned I would like to learn how to can someday. Not thinking twice about it. The next thing I know that neighbor talked to my other neighbor and I was getting phone calls about canning. They drove to Vale to get a box full of apples for me and also brought me jars. The next thing I know we had a date! They couldn't believe I have never canned before. She told me how to can. I am making a post so I don't forget!

Step 1: Clean the apples really well because they have been sprayed.

step 2: cut the apples into 4ths

step 3: put in roasters to cook for 1 hour add 3 or 4 cups of water
put on med to start to boil then simmer on level 2 and put lid on so steam softens them. stirring occasionally so sugar doesn't stick to bottom and burn.

Step 4: set oven at 350 degrees and cook jars upside down for 5 min. Turn off oven but leave jars in oven to stay warm.

when they get soft and mushy...
step 5: take over to this awesome machine that separates the apple from the core and peels. Get 2 pie tins next to each opening. When they get full pour Apple sauce into another bowl. Dump the other stuff in garbage.

Step 6: put water in sauce pan and add lids and put on low so the rubber doesn't cook off. use a magnetic stick to take out of hot water and place on jars.

Step 7: Get jars ready with funnel.

Step 8: fill canaster half way with water so water goes right over canning jars. Get the water to a boil

Step 9: Spoon apple sauce into jars and wipe sides of jar of excess apple sauce (won't seal if there is any on side)

Sept 10: screw lids on jars tightly and stick into canister for 25 minutes.
Step 11: Then take out with tongs and stick on towel and wait 24 hours to move jars from counter.
Step 12: make sure they are sealed and have popped

All done thanks to Janice, Dolores, and Alayna

My pretty pink applesauce

The box of apples made 16 pint sized jars cost me $13.00 for apples and 3.00 for lids. Jars were given to me.

This was the cool machine that did everything and made it super easy!

Hopefully I remembered every step!

P.S All three ladies had a different way of canning! It was quite amusing listening to them argue about it.

Happy Halloween

My kids get up at 5:40am for school. Karsyn is not a morning person. This year at their new school they could wear Halloween costumes. So Karsyn wanted to be a fireman and was excited about it, until the morning of. He looks mad in the picture, because he didn't want me to take his picture. REALLY??? who is his mother he should be use to it and its Halloween. HELLO!!!

Kadyn made his Halloween costume this year. Totally last minute. anyways...it took time to make. Long story short. He goes to school excited and comes home with NO costume. I said, "where is your costume, we have to leave in 15 minutes?" "I threw it away at school!" " What? What do you mean you threw iit away at school?" seriously who does that!!! I think he must have got made fun of or kids ruined it! I guess I will never know, but that's annoying!

Oh Adisyn! She wanted to be a gumball. She went to bed early the night before and got up really early to get ready for Halloween. She gets off the bus and comes skipping over to me with the biggest smile. "I just can't handle it, I am just so popular! I am like famous everyone loved my costume!"
Me thinking ok Adisyn whatever! She walks through the door and tells Brandyn the same thing! Brandyn and I look at each other and roll our eyes! Ashlyn speaks up angerly, and says, "Its true everyone loved her costume!" fast forward a few minutes we go down town to trick or treat! A lot of people go up to Adisyn and tell her how creative and awesome her costume is. She turns around to Brandyn and me and says, " See it is true I told you everyone loves my costume I am popular!" She is so FUNNY!!!

Mad hatter
She had fun, but was mad everyone liked Adisyn's costume.

Karsyn's best friend Tanner and his friend Charlotte

Our relator brought us a pumpkin pizza!

Brandyn refuses to dress up because he is a party pooper and hates his picture taken. So we were in a hurry to leave so I said hurry get in the picture. I handed him his coat and I don't think he realized what I was doing till after the fact! LOL It looks like we planned it but nope I was being sneaky!
